Vehicle Fire in "The Jungle"

June 10

This morning, Box 91-3 was sent to 283 in the area of 322 for a Vehicle Fire. Chief 91-4 (BC Allen) was advised of a Working Fire and now an MVA w/ Injuries on 283 in the area of Lindle Rd. Engine 91 (LT Oliver) arrived on scene of the Vehicle Fire and deployed the bumper line to extinguish. Rescue 91 (FF Hoyer) and Engine 91-2 handled the MVA and went available shortly after.

Vehicle Fire on Eisenhower Blvd

May 24

This evening during the rush-hour commute, Engine 91 was sent to the 1200 Block of Eisenhower Blvd for a Reported Vehicle Fire. Engine 91 (FF Marzen) arrived on scene along with Chief 91-1 (Steele) and advised of a well involved car. Units deployed the bumper line and extinguished. Members Receive Commendations

Last evening, multiple members of Swatara Fire-Rescue received commendations for their actions during a recent house fire with rescue.

May 05

This evening, Truck 91 was sent on the House Fire assignment to the 300 Block of 2nd Street in Highspire Borough. Station 55 made a priority transmission to communications to advise they were told by neighbors of smoke from a house and to send the box. During the evening rush, Box 45-7 was sent to East Park & Derry for an MVA with Injuries. Chief 91-3 (Orth) and Engine 91-5 arrived advising of 1 trapped bringing the Rescue Company. Rescue 91 (FF Shultz) arrived and removed the passenger's door within a minute to allow access for EMS. The patient was transported to a local trauma center.

3 Fires in 12 Hours

April 22

Beginning early in the morning, Monday proved to be a busy day for the 91 House.

At approximately 0230, the Engine & Truck handled a Commercial AFA in the 45-7 Box. Units went available quickly after arrival.

Yesterday evening at 2139, Box 45-7 was sent to the area of 50th & Linda Lane for a reported Chimney Fire. Chief 91-5 arrived with a well involved 2nd floor of a Cape Cod dwelling. Truck 91 & Engine 91-5 arrived simultaneously and assumed 1st due responsibilities. Engine 91 arrived as the 3rd due Engine Company.
